DIRECTOR BIO
Flexx Fernandez is a Director - Cinematographer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Flexx’s unique perspective comes from his experience as a professional artist himself. Prior to film-making he had a successful career as a dancer/actor in the film industry. He’s appeared in movies such as the Step Up series, Nick Canon’s School Dance and shared the stage with many greats such as Missy Elliott, LL cool J, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown through award shows (Grammy’s, Oscars), tours, TV appearances (Ellen DeGeneres, BET, MTV, SYTYCD), music videos and more. This first-hand experience gives him a clear understanding of how an artist wants to be perceived and what they look for in their projects.
As a Director & Cinematographer his highlighted credits include co-directing and co-shooting Janet Jackson’s State of the World tour visuals, and photo/video creative content for Jason Derulo (Warner Music Group). His work has been featured on MTV as well as highlighted by Vibe magazine.
In addition to A-list artists, Flexx enjoys working with independent artists from all genres and creating enticing visuals for companies tailored to their needs.
Outside the production studio, Flexx is a dedicated martial artist and father. His passion for motivating, inspiring and helping others leads him to give back to the community by teaching and volunteering his talents. He aspires to create motivational films that provoke confidence, value, humanity, and love. Through his teachings he hopes to bring out the best in people— not just in their art, but in all aspects of life.
